How Does PubMatic Work?
PubMatic is a meta ad server. It sits between you and individual ad networks to provide intelligent services that maximize your revenue and minimize the complexity of managing your ad inventory. You can be up and running with PubMatic in less than 10 minutes.
Create a PubMatic Account. Create an account by completing our simple, 2 step registration process. Tell us about yourself and your web site, and provide us with information about ad network accounts that you already have (for example, Google Adsense, Yahoo! Publisher Network, Value Click, etc.).
Create PubMatic Ad Tags. Create and use PubMatic ad tags for your web site in less than five minutes. You can specify different parameters for which PubMatic will optimize the revenue you earn - ad colors, location, ad units, etc. You can even save your ad tags and update their settings later, without having to change the ad tags on your web site.
Implement PubMatic Ad Tags. After creating your ad tags, you implement them on your web site in place of your other ad tags (for example, Google AdSense ad tags). Your PubMatic ad tags are instantly usable and will begin optimizing your ad performance immediately, by choosing the optimal ad style and ad network on the fly.
Use PubMatic’s Cross-Network Management Features. PubMatic will give you instant reporting visibility across all of your ad network accounts. From one easy to use dashboard, you can view eCPM, click through rate (eCPM), impressions, and revenue without having to decipher different web sites’ reports.
Collect Your Increased Revenue. You will continue to get paid by the ad networks that you have relationships with. For example, if some of your ads are served by Google AdSense, you will continue to collect checks from Google AdSense. But now, you’ll collect more revenue due to PubMatic’s optimization of your ad inventory.
