Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications

Reporting to the President, the Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing a clearly defined marketing and communication strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and enhances brand equity and awareness.  This position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, training and managing all marketing functions to achieve the company objectives of sales growth, profitability, and visibility while ensuring a consistent marketing message and position in alignment with the corporate direction. This is a senior role on the management team and successful candidates will show a clear maturity for leading a team to achieve specific goals in response to customer and business needs. This team leader will exemplify excellence in cross team collaboration with her/his counterparts in sales, operations, product management and finance.

The position will require a sophisticated understanding of the digital marketplace.  Including but not limited to: Real Time Bidding; Ad Network strategies and tactics; Audience Targeting; Ad Serving; Audience Data Collecting/Tracking; Media Reporting and Analytics. It is imperative that the Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communication is an individual that thrives in a fast paced, high-energy environment and has a passion for carving solutions out of complex data and minimal direction. The ideal candidate must be able to execute against a number of responsibilities simultaneously, requiring a genuine ability to multi-task and deliver.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations
  • Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, as well as call to action oriented advertising targeted toward key customer segments that increase brand awareness and drive new business development
  • Lead and manage Product Marketing Direct Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, Search Marketing, Event Marketing and Internal Creative Services
  • Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the of marketing programs
  • Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness
  • Develop and prepare key messaging and presentation material for senior management
  • Identify, interpret, and capitalize on marketing trends
  • Coach, mentor and raise the team’s ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent
  • Building and maintenance of collateral needed in support of PubMatic Sales

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field. MBA from top program preferred
  • 10 years with 5+ years experience in or related to the digital media technology industry
  • Marketing management experience
  • Product marketing or product management experience is a must
  • Strong working understanding of all Microsoft Office programs, Adobe products, salesforce.com, website management, and html (for newsletter development)
  • Track record of bringing to market and scaling various technology and media solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good presence and bearing in support of external visibility and industry speaking engagements
  • Must be comfortable working closely with customers, senior sales executives and media
  • Strong time management abilities
