Job Description:

You will head PubMatic’s India-based Account Management team, which is responsible for backend setup, post-sales service and delivery.  You will be responsible for recruiting and training a team of client services executives, building out repeatable & scalable processes and tools to service the needs of hundreds or thousands of clients managing customer and team retention.  You will work closely with customers to identify their needs and ensure that your client services team is able to profitably deliver against those needs by rolling out fresh service lines.  The customers will be mostly based out of US and Europe and this requires working in shifts.  You will also provide strategic input into the product roadmap based on your observations and learnings from repeated customer interaction.  You will be working in a highly dynamic environment in the Internet advertising industry, which is growing 50% or more every year.  This is a role critical to the scale up of operations over the next two years.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly manage PubMatic’s Account Management team with minimal oversight.
  • Take a lead role in developing and implementing best practices for client-servicing operations and services.
  • Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and/or improvement.
  • Develop metrics to measure growth and performance of the department, and provide reports as needed.
  • Establish operation process flow between cross functional teams to maximize efficiency.
  • Create Training documentation including Operations Reference Manuals.  Develop technical training documents (3rd party tags, Rich Media QA, JavaScript, Adserver basics)
  • Provide analytical training, troubleshoot delivery issues and handle priorities understanding delivery priorities
  • Hire, motivate and train a team of Account Managers to manage all aspects of PubMatic’s services.
  • Manage and motivate a team of outsourced resources to handle campaign related duties.
  • Work with Operations, Publisher Experience and Product teams to refine new programs and provide expert input on new projects.
  • Create documents to relay technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Review invoices, verify delivery, resolve discrepancies and authorize all billing.
  • Work with engineering to develop new tools and help improve existing ones.

Requirements:

  • Any Graduation; preferably technical qualification / Masters is a plus
  • 7-10 years with no less than 4 years of people management exposure.  Minimum 2 years in a Online Ad Operations environment.
  • Web programming skills and exposure to support and development environments is a plus.
