Amar previously founded and ran Chipshot.com, a leading online golf-etailer. He has also worked at McKinsey & Co. and Netscape Communications. Amar is a graduate of Harvard University, with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He loves to play golf and once fell in a creek while playing.

Rajeev founded PubMatic in 2006 to give premium publishers a real-time selling platform for managing their revenue and brand strategy. As Co-Founder and CEO, he is responsible for PubMatic’s overall business strategy. Under his leadership, the company’s revenue has grown 33 times in the past two years, attracting a rapidly expanding roster of premium, branded publishers. Rajeev has more than 10 years of experience building and scaling products. He co-founded Chipshot.com, a leading online retailer of custom-built golf equipment, where he served as Vice President of Technology. At Chipshot, Rajeev led product management and development, helping grow the company into a $30 million business. Rajeev is also an experienced management consultant. He was a Principal at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, an IT strategy consulting firm for Fortune 2000 clients, where he led teams on IT strategy engagements. Before founding PubMatic, Rajeev was a Product Marketing executive at SAP, where he was responsible for global go-to-market strategy for new products. Rajeev holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Political Science and Spanish from The Johns Hopkins University.
Kirk McDonald, President

Kirk joined PubMatic as President in October, 2011 with more than two decades of experience across a range of premier media brands such as Time Inc., CNET, Ziff Davis and Conde Nast to help drive the next stage of PubMatic’s growth. Most recently, Kirk was President of Digital, Time Inc, where he was responsible for bringing together the company’s collective digital assets to deliver audience and brand solutions to clients. He formerly held the position of Chief Advertising Officer of the Fortune|Money Group, where he oversaw worldwide advertising sales and integrated marketing. Prior to joining the Fortune|Money Group, Kirk served as the Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Client Services for DRIVEpm and Atlas, both key units of Microsoft’s advertising business. Previously, Kirk spent nine years at CNET, where he was the Senior Vice President of network sales, and developed hugely successful strategic partnerships with the top-tier of technology marketers.
Beyond his professional experiences, Kirk is passionate about thought leadership across the industry. He serves on handful of professional and not-for-profit boards. He’s an advisor on the LUMA Partners board, and is the Chairman of a small not-for-profit, Camp Interactive, an organization that empowers inner city youth through the inspiration of the outdoors and creative power of technology.
Mukul Kumar, Co-Founder and Senior Vice President Engineering

Mukul is responsible for PubMatic’s engineering team and resides in Pune, India. Mukul was previously the Director of Engineering at PANTA Systems, a high-performance computing startup. Previous to that he joined Veritas India as the 13th employee and helped it grow to over 2,000 individuals. There, he served as Director of Engineering for the NetBackup group, Veritas’ main product. He has filed for 14 patents in systems software, storage software, and application software and proudly proclaims his love of π and ability to recite it to 60 digits. Jeanne is the Chief Revenue Officer for PubMatic. Jeanne is an online industry veteran and early pioneer in internet advertising and strategic partnerships with more than two decades of experience in sales and business development. With a focus on understanding and exceeding client objectives, Jeanne is a proven expert in crafting complex technology distribution partnerships and advertising solutions that generate significant revenue and value. Jeanne has spent the past 16 years driving deals and building successful advertising sales and business development teams at leading online companies and start ups such as Microsoft and Excite@Home. Prior to joining PubMatic in 2008, she led international market expansion for the NebuAd behavioral targeting solution as well as served as Vice President of Advertising Services for ISP partners. Jeanne led the team responsible for revenue generating content partnerships and distribution for Microsoft UK’s MSN division, driving significant growth in page views and channel contribution margins. At Excite@Home she was involved in vertical channel management and ad product strategy, ultimately becoming the top ad sales producer and Sales Director. Jeanne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Steve is a seasoned industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience in driving growth, strategy, and operations for leading companies such as Kodak Gallery (Ofoto), Blockbuster, Inc. and Cadbury Schweppes Plc. Prior to PubMatic, in the online ad space, Steve was the CFO of the innovative data management platform company, Aggregate Knowledge. As CFO of Ofoto/Kodak Gallery, he helped build one of the world’s leading online digital imaging and services company. He also oversaw the Company’s printing and customer service operations. Earlier in his career, Steve held numerous senior executive positions at Blockbuster Inc., helping take the company public in 1999. At Blockbuster, Steve served as chief operating officer of the company’s New Media Division, senior vice president of strategic planning, senior vice president of finance responsible for the company’s U.S. financial operations, and vice president of worldwide planning. Prior to Blockbuster, Steve spent seven years with Cadbury Schweppes, in a variety of roles in the US and Europe including, VP Finance, Dr Pepper/7Up, and Planning Director, Schweppes Europe. Steve earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and an A.B. degree from Harvard College.

Josh is responsible for PubMatic’s mobile business. He oversees product, strategy and business execution for mobile as well as new media areas such as video, with a focus on a single solution across ad formats (Display & Video) and platforms (PC & Mobile) for PubMatic’s customers. Josh most recently (2004-2008) led business development for eBay’s Shopping.com division, most notably building a separate business unit into a commerce ad network that today comprises a majority of Shopping.com’s revenue. Prior to that, Josh spent 4 years at CNET Networks leading up business development for various business units within the company such as Games & Entertainment and Product Reviews & Shopping. Paul Chu, VP, Publisher Services

Paul is the service leader for PubMatic’s publisher Account Management and Operations teams. His teams engage with premium publisher clients throughout the service delivery lifecycle, spanning focus areas of consulting, implementation, and ongoing account management. Most recently, Paul was with Amazon.com as Head of Operations for their sell-side display advertising business. While there, he managed the order-to-cash ad operations processes, led agency MSA negotiations and managed the operational delivery for $NNN million in direct sales ad buys across Amazon’s Web properties. Prior to Amazon, Paul was with Yahoo as Director of Operations where he led a 24/7 global operation with staff across Search, Display and Exchange. During his tenure, he built Yahoo’s offshore BPO and captive operations from 0 to 400+ headcount to support multiple business lines. Paul has also worked at Charles Schwab and Honeywell China in various product, consulting and business development roles. Paul is a Costco Executive Club member, holds a Bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley in Integrative Biology, and received his MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

As Vice President of Product Management, Mahesh is responsible for driving the vision, strategy and execution of PubMatic’s global product portfolio. Over the last 12 years, Mahesh has held progressively challenging roles in Product Management in the Enterprise Software as a Service and Internet space with a track record of launching world class products in enterprise Web analytics, Behavioral targeting, Search and Social media working in both F500 as well as startup environments. Most recently, Mahesh was at Fox Interactive Media’s MySpace unit where he led and managed several key product initiatives related to Analytics, site optimization and monetization. Prior to that, he was at Yahoo Search managing Content Match and has had a significantly long stint in the Web Analytics space working at Omniture and SageMetrics and successfully launching and managing multiple versions of industry leading products such as Omniture SiteCatalyst and Omniture SearchCenter. Mahesh holds an MBA from Indiana University, Bloomington and a BS in Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, India.

Deb comes to PubMatic from Yahoo! where she was VP, Agency Revenue and Development. Prior to Yahoo! Deb spent 10 years at Nielsen//NetRatings. At Nielsen//NetRatings Deb started and ran the Agency Vertical where her responsibilities covered go-to-market strategy, sales/sales management and input into product acquisition. The success of Agency Vertical was a key factor in Nielsen//NetRatings being acquired by VNU and therefore becoming Nielsen Online. Deb also spent time as Head of Sales of Bebo which was the #1 Social Network in the UK and Ireland prior to Facebook. Deb had a great time starting her career at Grey Advertising, spending nearly a decade there, where she was both a Local and National Broadcast Supervisor supporting clients such as Time Warner, Kraft, P&G and Mitsubishi.
Barry Stern, VP, Finance

Barry is responsible for managing PubMatic’s US and corporate finance, accounting and business operations. He has over 15 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, financial operations, scaling businesses globally, M&A and due diligence, and management consulting. Most recently, Barry worked at Google for 5 years where he supported various business units including product management, marketing, finance and real estate. During his tenure at Google, Barry spent 2 years in Sydney, Australia where he opened and scaled several sales offices across the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to Google, Barry served as the Finance Director at Shopping.com where he played a key role in the company’s $180M IPO. He also worked at Intel for five years and worked as a management consultant at Andersen Consulting. He holds both an BBA and MBA degree from the University of Michigan and is a die-hard fan of Michigan football.

Paulina is VP of Business and Corporate Development for PubMatic. She joined PubMatic from PayPal where she negotiated and managed strategic partnerships and played a leadership role in establishing the x.commerce platform. Prior to that, Paulina headed Business Development for BlueLithium, a leading online ad network acquired by Yahoo!. She also spent 4 years at AOL driving strategy, corporate development and international expansion, including the launch of AOL’s Advertising.com business into Japan. Paulina started her career in Investment Banking, followed by a stint at Charles Schwab. Paulina earned her undergraduate degree at the Finance Academy of Moscow and her MBA from the University of Michigan (Ross) Business School, where she was one of the founding and avid members of the Wine Club.
