Amar Goel, Founder and Chairman

Amar founded PubMatic in October 2006. He previously led a sales and service team at Microsoft/MSN for the financial services and retail verticals. Amar previously founded and ran Chipshot.com, a leading online golf-etailer. He has also worked at McKinsey & Co. and Netscape Communications. Amar is a graduate of Harvard University, with a Master’s Degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He loves to play golf and once fell in a creek while playing.

Rajeev Goel, Co-Founder and CEO

Rajeev is responsible for PubMatic’s business strategy and execution, leading product management, marketing, and operations. Rajeev has over 10 years of experience in building and scaling products as well as in creating and executing business strategies. Rajeev was Co-Founder and VP of Technology of Chipshot.com, a leading online retailer of custom built golf equipment, where he led product management and development for the $30M e-retailer. Rajeev was also a Principal at Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, an IT strategy consulting firm for Fortune 2000 clients.  There, he led consulting teams on IT strategy engagements. Most Recently, Rajeev was Sr. Director of Product Marketing at SAP, where he was responsible for global go-to-market strategy for key new products. Rajeev holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The Johns Hopkins University in Economics, Political Science, and Spanish and a Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Computer Science.

Mukul Kumar, Co-Founder and VP Engineering

Mukul is responsible for PubMatic’s engineering team and resides in Pune, India. Mukul was previously the Director of Engineering at PANTA Systems, a high-performance computing startup. Previous to that he joined Veritas India as the 13th employee and helped it grow to over 2,000 individuals.  There, he served as Director of Engineering for the NetBackup group, Veritas’ main product. He has filed for 14 patents in systems software, storage software, and application software and proudly proclaims his love of π and ability to recite it to 60 digits. Mukul is a graduate of IIT Kharagpur with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Vaishali Cooper, CFO

Vaishali is the CFO of PubMatic and is responsible for finance and M&A. In her last role, she was CFO & Strategy Head at eBay India, India’s largest e-commerce site. Vaishali has over 9 years of cross-functional experience in the consumer Internet space. She was part of the Management Team that successfully sold Baazee.com to eBay in 2004. Vaishali is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Andrew Rutledge, VP, Publisher Sales

Andrew Rutledge is PubMatic’s Vice President of Publisher Sales and head of the New York office. Andrew oversee’s all global sales initiatives with large-scale, premium publishers. He is a 9-year interactive media veteran in the U.S. and Europe, coming from Google where he was Director of DoubleClick¹s agency and advertisers sales, responsible for 300+ agency and marketer clients and $75 million in technology revenue. Over Andrew’s tenure at DoubleClick, he held several management roles including, Vice President, National Marketer Sales and Regional Director of UK and Northern Europe overseeing all agency and publisher relationships. Andrew received a Master’s of Science in Economics from The London School of Economics and his Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Political Science from The University of Western Ontario.

Josh Wetzel, VP, Publisher Services

Josh is responsible for PubMatic’s Publisher Acquisition & Account Management teams. Josh’s career is rooted in eCommerce & online media, where he has developed and/or helped grow businesses by developing partnerships that drive customer acquisition and revenue for both early stage & mature companies. Josh recently (2004-2008) led business development for eBay’s Shopping.com division, most notably building a separate business unit, distributed commerce, into a commerce ad network that drove the majority of Shopping.com’s core revenue. Prior to that, Josh spent 4 years at CNET Networks leading up business development for various media properties within the company such as Games & Entertainment and Product Reviews & Shopping. He has also worked at Adobe, Polyvore and mySimon, among others, in various marketing & business development roles. Josh received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Denison University, and feels fortunate that he never left the technology sector to attend Law School as he had previously planned to do.

Jeanne Houweling, VP, Ad Network Solutions

Jeanne is responsible for leading PubMatic’s ad network relationships and advertising sales teams. Jeanne is an online industry veteran and early pioneer with a dozen years in internet advertising and strategic partnerships and more than two decades of experience in sales and business development. With a focus on understanding and exceeding client objectives, Jeanne is a proven expert in crafting distribution partnerships and advertising solutions that generate significant revenue and value. Jeanne has spent the past 12 years driving deals and building successful advertising sales and business development teams at leading online companies and start ups such as NebuAd, Microsoft and Excite@Home. Most recently, she led international market expansion for the NebuAd behavioral targeting solution as well as served as the online advertising expert for ISP partners. Jeanne led the team responsible for revenue generating content partnerships and distribution for Microsoft UK’s MSN division, significantly increasing page views and channel contribution margins. At Excite@Home she was involved in vertical channel management and ad product strategy, ultimately becoming the top ad sales producer and Sales Director. Jeanne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Anand Das, Co-Founder and Principal Software Architect

Anand is responsible for PubMatic’s system architecture, development, scalability, and engineering and resides in Pune, India. Anand was previously Senior Engineer at PANTA Systems, a high performance computing startup. Anand was also Sr. Software Engineer at VERITAS India where he worked on various storage and backup related products. He has filed for 3 patents in systems software, storage software, and application software. Anand holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Pune in Computer Science.

Manish C. Tayal, Director of Analytics

Manish is responsible for PubMatic’s analytics efforts, leading the development of algorithms and advanced analytics empowering our real-time ad optimization technology. He has over 8 years of experience building innovative, revenue generating products using advanced analytics and optimization techniques. Prior to being at PubMatic, Manish was Senior Engineering Manager at Yahoo!, where he led the development of search monetization products, delivering $100M in annual incremental revenue for the company. Previously, Manish spent time working at Oracle Corporation, Dynamix Technologies and Cray Research. He has also filed for 7 patents in search monetization and online advertising software. Manish holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Technology from IIT Delhi and a Ph.D. in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh.

Eric Klotz, VP Marketing

Eric is the VP of Marketing at PubMatic and is based in Palo Alto, CA.  Before working for PubMatic, Eric was most recently the Director of Creative Development at VideoEgg, where he developed branded content marketing strategies for top brands including Motorola and Sprint, while also working on the company’s own marketing objectives.  Previous to VideoEgg, Eric worked on Madison Avenue at OMD, managing the emerging media strategies for some of the world’s biggest brands including Visa, McDonald’s, Nissan, Lowe’s, DIRECTV, Clorox, Discovery, Pepsi, and more.  His experience also includes leading the marketing and advertising efforts for the large international publisher, Hostels.com, which was acquired during his tenure.  Eric received his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and resides in San Francisco.
